Harry Barkers I is a traditional vintage, antique and cottage items shop. The Harry Barker Stores were created as a co-op to help raise funds for Harvest Hills Animal Shelter by re-selling higher quality donated items. Local artisans and antique dealers lease out space in the shops as well to sell items
Unique, affordable merchandise offered from over 20 vendors make each visit to Harry Barker’s Emporium shops a fun shopping adventure. You never know what treasure you’ll find around each corner of these two shops. Both are located in beautiful downtown Bridgton Maine which has become a destination for antique, artisan and specialty store shoppers.
The first Harry Barkers Emporium opened its doors in 2009. The concept of the shop is a cooperative effort of an eclectic group vendors, was born from a desire to raise funds for Harvest Hills Animal Shelter in Fryeburg Maine. The shelters’ thrift shop, located next to the shelter was the recipient of some valuable donations which could help raise these extra funds needed, but a ‘thrift shop’ was not the place do this. It works well, as Harvest Hills secures the lease of the shop and in turn leases space to these vendors which creates an atmosphere of fun and exciting shopping. This lease arrangement allows Harvest Hills to have a booth to sell these nicer donations and 100% of sales from that booth go directly to Harvest Hills. This initial partnership was so well received by customers, it resulted in a second shop opening which is also located in downtown Bridgton.
Both Harry Barker’s Emporium stores are open daily from 10 am to 5 pm and located at 32 and 148 Main Street Bridgton Maine
